Our Team

Animal Health Technologists

Andrea

Andrea has lived on Vancouver Island for most of her life and has been with us for many years. When we have a particularly nervous pet, we call on Andrea, as her skill at calming them down makes her indispensable.

Alex is her young cat, and when not playing with him, she's playing baseball or hockey. She also likes biking, movies, music, and generally living by the ocean.

Philippa

Philippa has also been with us for a long time, and her talent is calming down nervous owners, assuring them their pets are receiving the care they need.

Sunny is her cockatiel. Philippa's passion is saltwater aquariums.

Colleen Colleen is another long term member of our team. She sets the standard for comfort and care of our patients. Her dogs, Jag and Dodger, keep her occupied at home.

Client Advisors

Riana has been with our hospital in various capacities - as a kennel attendant, a groomer, and now a veterinary receptionist! This broad experience makes her pretty much indispensable. At home, she has two daughters along with a dog, cat, hamster, guinea pigs, and some fish! "Busy but smiling" she likes to say.

Lindsay was born in Campbell River and has been involved with animals from a very young age. "Life isn't complete without a cat," she says. She has two - Reese and Molson. Lindsay graduated top of her class in the Animal Care Aide Program, and is a fantastic addition to our team. Her spare time in the winter is taken up by snowboarding.

Shawna grew up in Campbell River, and her family has a long history here. She enjoys spending quality time with friends and family and Eddie, her dog. Unfortunately, Eddie likes chewing everything. Let's hope nothing gets stuck down there!

Boarding Manager

Sadie loves to spoil her goldfish, her cat Lynxie, and her four birds. She also loves to spoil the pets in her care at work! Her attention to the little things that make a pet's stay that much more comforting is what pet owners have come to value so much.

Tess has a cat named Cheeto. She loves spending time with the pets in boarding, and they seem to love the time they spend with her!

Dog Groomers

Cathy

Cathy's dedication to dogs is truly remarkable. After a full day of grooming, she spends most evenings molding dog owners into good dog owners with behaviour training. She's totally committed to ensuring all dogs are groomed to their owners' exact specifications, and this has resulted in a long list of loyal clientele.

Cathy's been with us for years and commonly states we will have to push her up to the grooming table in her wheelchair at some point!

Lydia has been a groomer for over 15 years. She has shared her home with a variety of breeds

including American Cocker Spaniels, Portuguese Water Dogs, Chihuahuas, a Basenji, and an English Setter.

She loves showing and training dogs, hiking, and camping.

Dog Bathers & Preppers

Ann

Ann is another long time employee at our hospital. She has a passion for pets and for keeping them looking great!

 Carrie

We keep Carrie on at the hospital as our resident comedian. Always ready with funny comment on any embarassing situation, her laughter can usually be heard throughout the building!
